چکیده
Interest in the pathogenesis, detection, and prevention of viral infections has increased broadly many fields research over past year. The development water treatment technology to combat infection by inactivation or disinfection might play a key role places where drinking sources are biologically contaminated. Laser-induced graphene (LIG) antimicrobial antifouling surface effects mainly because its electrochemical properties texture, LIG-based filters have been used for bacteria. However, antiviral activity not yet explored. Here we show that LIG also applying electrical potential during filtration model prototypic poxvirus Vaccinia lister. This was compared with antibacterial activity, which showed higher voltages were required viruses generation reactive oxygen species, along effects, played mechanism virus inactivation. new property highlights use wastewater various pathogenic microorganisms, including bacteria viruses.

Dynamic graphene filters for selective gas-water-oil separation
Selective filtration of gas, water, and liquid or gaseous oil is essential to prevent possible environmental pollution and machine/facility malfunction in oil-based industries. Novel materials and structures able to selectively and efficiently filter liquid and vapor in various types of solutions are therefore in continuous demand. Here, we investigate selective gas-water-oil filtration using t...
متن کاملTunable Wideband Graphene based Filters in THz Band
In this paper, a procedure for analyzing and designing of tunable wideband band-pass and band-stop graphene based filters in the terahertz band is proposed. These planar wideband plasmonic filters are unique in their kind. With this procedure, it is possible to design filters with the desired functional characteristics in the form of the similar quarter-wavelength resonance stubs. The discontin...
متن کاملLaser-induced solid-phase doped graphene.
There have been numerous efforts to improve the performance of graphene-based electronic devices by chemical doping. Most studies have focused on gas-phase doping with chemical vapor deposition. However, that requires a complicated transfer process that causes undesired doping and defects by residual polymers. Here, we report a solid-phase synthesis of doped graphene by means of silicon carbide...
متن کاملLaser induced white lighting of graphene foam
Laser induced white light emission was observed from porous graphene foam irradiated with a focused continuous wave beam of the infrared laser diode. It was found that the intensity of the emission increases exponentially with increasing laser power density, having a saturation level at ca. 1.5 W and being characterized by stable emission conditions. It was also observed that the white light em...
متن کاملInactivation of Norwalk virus in drinking water by chlorine.
Norwalk virus in water was found to be more resistant to chlorine inactivation than poliovirus type 1 (LSc2Ab), human rotavirus (Wa), simian rotavirus (SA11), or f2 bacteriophage. A 3.75 mg/liter dose of chlorine was found to be effective against other viruses but failed to inactivate Norwalk virus. The Norwalk virus inoculum remained infectious for five of eight volunteers, despite the initial...
